Almost all of the fifty states have lotteries, for most of them, their funds go towards the people, Pennsylvania has their proceeds go towards living essentials for the elderly, for the state of Arizona, their proceeds from their lottery go toward education. I believe it is time to take a vote to redirect a portion if not all of the proceeds from the lottery to either elderly care or education, or a combination of both. With the legislatures help, we can strengthen our laws to ensure the boundary waters are kept pristine, and we will continue to allow the DNR to collect revenue from hunting and fishing licenses, water recreation licenses and tabs, and park fees. These four revenue streams bring in over 300 million dollars for the DNR, which generously maintains our forests and lakes.
